Dear Friends!
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 25th European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics, I greet all the gymnasts, the members of delegations and honorary guests in our city.

The capital of Azerbaijan is ready to receive the European Rhythmic Gymnastics family and announce the names of new champions. We realize well that Euro-2009 in Baku will be the first important event in a new Olympic cycle. Moreover, this is anniversary championship and this fact also makes us, the organizers, especially responsible.

Taking into account our experience in organizing of such significant events gained in 2007, we will run this championship at the highest level, having justified the confidence given by the European Union of Gymnastics.

We will create the most favorable conditions, and I hope you will be pleased to visit Baku again, having valued its ancient culture and modern look, its old sports traditions.

I am sure all the days of the championship will turn into pleasant moments of the European rhythmic gymnastics festival. I wish all the competitors successful events and joys of victories!
